Triple Falls

Triple Falls - Original Art Oil Painting by Painter Lyn
This is one of the most Awe Inspiring Original Oil Paintings I have ever seen. This Painting is called Triple Falls, and is 3 foot by 4 foot large. Then Add the Frame, making it about 55 inches by 43 inches.

If I'm not mistaken this Painting is so large that it cannot be shipped using regular methods like UPS or FedEx. This painting has to take the Truck / Freight Shipment route if it is to be mailed anywhere thought the USA.

I know that this picture doesn't quite do this painting justice because of its size and quality, but I can assure you that this is a Massive Painting and worth every penny that it is listed for sale as.

View From a Hammock

16x20 oil painting on stretched canvas, framed

Looking up from the Hammock

Artist: Painter Lyn

There are generally many views that you can see looking up from a Hammock but in Florida State the most likely view in into Palm Trees. The Reason palm trees are used often in Florida State is because they have a rigid outer bark that withstands the pulling of the rope without the need for a branch.

Triple Falls | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Triple Falls

48x36 Oil Painting on Stretch Canvas, Framed in a Custom Hand Built Frame.

This is one of the Largest Paintings on Canvas Ever Created by Painter Lyn.

Artist: Painter Lyn

Triple Falls flows on the Little River through the DuPont State Forest. It is one of 4 major waterfalls on the Little River in this area, the others being High Falls, Hooker Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Triple Falls has 3 distinct, different types of waterfalls.

Triple Falls has been known for years to local residents. In the 1990's, DuPont Forest was sold to the State of North Carolina, and as DuPont has completed cleanup of various areas, those areas have been made open to the public. A photograph of Triple Falls was one of the tools used to convince the state to purchase the property, which is now a 10,000+ acre state forest.

Have you ever noticed the number of times that things happen in threes? It seems all to often that Three is the number that people choose. Here nature has chosen to give three palm trees bundled together, and I, Painter Lyn, have decided to paint three palm trees grouped together.

The Creator | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

The Creator

16x20 oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

Artist: Painter Lyn

The Creator is a painting to consider as a somewhat religious painting. If you do not believe that the earth was Created then you probably believe in Evolution.

Since we believe that the earth was created by a higher power greater then ourselfs, painting can be a representation of the The Creator. The Creator religiously would be considered God and how he created the Heavens and the Earth, Where as in a painting the Creator is the Artist, specificly in this painting Painter Lyn.

Sunset on the River | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Sunset on the River

16x20 oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

This painting was inspired by the orange colors appearing in the sky as a result of fires in Central Florida

Artist: Painter Lyn

Central Florida is the central region of the United States state of Florida, on the East Coast. The region enjoys a hot but often stormy climate, with many thunderstorms, and hurricanes threaten often.

Although the exact area can be disputed, Central Florida tends to be thought of as the area including Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Brevard, and Volusia counties. Polk, Marion, Flagler, and Sumter counties are considered by some, including the local media, to be part of Central Florida. Although geographically in the central part of the state, usually the west central coast, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Hernando counties, is considered the Tampa Bay area or the Suncoast, rather than a part of Central Florida. This area is known as the I-4 Corridor.

In 2006, the estimated total population of the Central Florida region was just over 3.5 million people. Central Florida is unique because it blends the traditional culture of the Deep South which is experienced in the northern part of the region as well as in the rural areas, with the typical "Florida" culture that is dominated by Northern and international migration.

Suburbia | Oil Painting | Painter Lyn

Suburbia

16x20 Oil Painting on Stretched Canvas, Framed

This Painting was inspired by Human development into Major Cities that drain the enviroment, and replace it with Processes

Artist: Painter Lyn

Suburbs are commonly defined as residential areas on the outskirts of a city or large town.[1] Residents of suburbs tend to live in single-family homes and commute by automobile to work. Suburbs tend to have some degree of political autonomy and lower population density than urban neighborhoods. The automobile enabled the growth of suburbs, which tend to proliferate near cities with an abundance of adjacent flat land.

River Rain | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

River Rain

16x20 oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

I painted this in the Florida everglades, it's a rain cloud moving in at sunset

Artist: Painter Lyn

Rain clouds usually have particular characteristics. They are often large, grey clouds and appear dark because they are so large and full of water that sunlight cannot get through them. The heaviest rain falls from the deepest, darkest clouds which are high enough for the raindrops to develop properly.

Rainbow Falls | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Rainbow Falls

16x20, oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

Artist: Painter Lyn

Creased into a rugged gorge and surrounded by steep granite walls streaked with black and tan, Rainbow Falls is a great destination for those of us who like hiking down. The .5-mile descent to the base of the falls is a drop over jumbled tree roots and around walls of stone, and at two different points you will need to use ropes that are provided. After you linger at the base for a while, you will realize that hiking back up is the only way to get back to your car. The hike is strenuous, but the bottom-up view of this 100-foot waterfall more than makes up for it.

Rainbow Falls is located on property owned by Camp Greenville and you must get permission before you hike. You can call (864) 836-3291 for permission and trail conditions.

Rain | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Rain

12x16, oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

Artist: Painter lyn

Rain is a source of precipitation which forms when separate drops of water fall to the Earth's surface from clouds. Not all rain reaches the surface; some evaporates while falling through dry air. When none of it reaches the ground, it is called Virga, a phenomenon often seen in hot, dry desert regions. The scientific explanation of how rain forms and falls is called the Bergeron process.

Fragile | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Fragile

16x20, oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

I painted this because everything seems to survive in a delicate balance called life

Artist: Painter Lyn

Fragile

These adjectives mean easily broken or damaged. Fragile applies to objects that are not made of strong or sturdy material and that require great care when handled: fragile porcelain plates. Breakable and frangible mean capable of being broken but do not necessarily imply inherent weakness: breakable toys; frangible artifacts. Delicate refers to what is so soft, tender, or fine as to be susceptible to injury: delicate fruit. Brittle refers to inelasticity that makes something especially likely to fracture or snap when it is subjected to pressure: brittle bones.

This Describes our Earth perfectly as it Hangs in the Delicate Balance of what Man-kind Can Do to Either Save it or Destroy it.

EverGlade Sunset | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Everglade Sunset

16x20, oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

Artist: Painter Lyn

This is my personal favorite, I watched as the sun was setting and birds were flying in to feed and nest for the night. Painted in the everglades, while camping in a Chickee hut.

Everglades National Park was officially established in 1947, culminating years of effort by a dedicated group of conservationists to make a national park in the Florida Everglades a reality. Since that time, the park has been designated an International Biosphere (1976), a World Heritage Site (1979), and a Wetland of International Importance (1987).

The Everglade Sunset is one of the Most Spectacular Sites you may Ever See. While the Sky Changes Colors from Bright Red to Orange and Purple. Two Everglade Sunsets are never Alike.

Copper Sunset | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Copper Sunset

16x20 oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

Artist: Painter Lyn

This painting was inspired by the colors in the sunset in The Florida Everglades. The Sugar Can farmers burn off their Fields preparing for the next crop. When the conditions are right, the sky reflects the color of fire.

Information on The Sugar Industry

There are many variables surrounding the arguments for and against the sugar industry. While the industry has vital economic impacts, it also has destructive environmental effects. Economically the sugar cane industry plays an important role in our society. The impacts especially affect those who live in Florida. Sugar cane is one of Florida’s most important agricultural products, producing a gross sale of more than $2 billion in the state. It averaged over $800 million per year in the end of the ‘90s and first season of 2000. While it is obvious that income to the state of that magnitude would have huge economic significance for the state, the industry also provides numerous jobs for its citizens. The sugar cane industry boasts 17,000 jobs, having a significant impact for those who live around the plantations.

Even though many may believe the environmental effects from the sugar cane industry on the Everglades are minimal or insignificant, there is a large amount of evidence stating otherwise. The sugar industry has polluted the water in streams and rivers by runoff from their facilities. Phosphorus runoff produced by the industry is the primary cause of degradation of the Everglades. Water that runs off from the sugar cane agricultural areas carries with it so much phosphorus, usually around 10 parts per billion, allowing cattails to thrive off the nutrient usually growing uncontrollably. This uncontrollable growth chocks the natural vegetation leading the ecosystem into crisis. Plants that used to thrive in those areas have died and been swept down stream turning the once pristine waters of Florida Bay into bodies of dark and cloudy waters. This runoff of Phosphorus travels down from the Everglades to the Atlantic Ocean, which is ruining the reefs that exist there.

In addition to polluting the water supply and altering the environment over the past 200 years, 9.3 million acres of wetlands, most of it Everglades, have been lost. Losing wetlands means losing both a natural water purifier, which has huge environmental effects, and abundant wildlife. Animals such as the American Crocodile and Florida Panther, along with 54 additional endangered species, call the Florida wetlands their home.

Although there are huge environmental effects from the sugar industry on the Everglades, and the quality of the water, the industry has recently started to step up and take into consideration the environment. Because of the concerns for the environment, the sugar farmers have become active in the litigation over the restoration of the Florida Everglades. Sugar farmers, such as U.S. Sugar and others, have agreed to pay more than $300 million over the next 20 years to pay for the cost of cleaning the water, to its entirety, leaving their farms. The farmers utilize strict water quality control programs on their facilities to ensure the health of Florida’s ecosystem.

Not only are they practicing environmentally safer techniques on their farms, they also support such legislation from the U.S. Congress to re-pump the water flow and delivery system in South Florida, known as the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Act. While the damage has been done to the Everglades, and water quality in South Florida by the sugar cane industry, they are now taking measures to reduce further damage, and to try to protect the Everglades while they can.

Blue Water | Oil Painting | Artist: Painter Lyn

Blue Water

16x20, oil painting on stretched canvas, Framed

Painted in Florida Everglades, after a storm.

Artist: Painter Lyn

The Everglades and the Ten Thousand Islands is a rare and beautiful place. It is one of North America's unsung wild places - a beautiful, rugged, subtropical landscape experienced by a relatively few adventurous souls each year. Many who appreciate the unique qualities of this wilderness will argue that it is a place better kept secret. Perhaps, in my quest for solitude and a deeply personal communion with nature, I might ordinarily agree. But I also feel that it is a resource important not only for its natural heritage and spiritually enriching powers, but for its commercial and recreational values as well.

A Walk on the Beach

16x20 oil painting on stretched canvas. Framed

Artist: Painter Lyn

This is a typical scene from my early morning walks along the beaches of Brevard County, Florida

Just 35 miles east of Orlando, Brevard County prides itself as the home of Kennedy Space Center, the only facility in the world that launches the Space Shuttle; Port Canaveral, the second-busiest cruise port in the world; 72 miles of beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches; and the largest collection of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States. With its tropical weather, cultural activities, educational opportunities, active and passive recreation options, high-technology industries, and family-friendly atmosphere, the Space Coast offers an exceptional quality of life that residents and visitors enjoy year-round. Nearly 500,000 people call its 16 municipalities and unincorporated areas "home."
